I downloaded the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed demo from the PlayStation Network the other day and I have to say that the single short level it has was one of the best Star Wars games I’ve ever played. It reminded me a bit of Knights of The Old Republic as far as having the behind the character view, but the gameplay and specifically the Force powers were awesome.

Right from the beginning I felt like a very powerful Force user and I was able to cause incredible amounts of damage. Tossing Stormtroopers around like ragdolls or lifting (and hurling) incredible large items with the power of the Force is great fun. Past games seem to limit your powers and let you grow over time. This one starts you out very strong and I imagine you’ll just get stronger. The full game should be quite incredible and I look forward to getting it. The graphics were top notch as expected and all the fighting motions work very, very well.

I’d say just from playing the demo that this is one Star Wars game you’ll certainly want to own.

This game is going to be amazing and this Thursday (Aug 21) the demo will be on Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network. You’ll be able to take some force powers for a test run in one of the early levels in the game. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed casts players as Darth Vader’s “Secret Apprentice” and promises incredible graphics and force powers gameplay unlike ever before.

LucasArts has confirmed that a demo for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed will be out this month. This is a game I’m really excited about getting. The demo will be available through the PlayStation Store and Xbox Live. The game comes out on September 16, which is a day that billions of voices will suddenly cry out in happiness…and then go silent.

These are simply amazing! The design of the these Steampunk Star Wars action figures, not to mention the 1942 Star Wars figures and the Gaslight Justice League, is simply incredible. Some of them look a bit rough (not that I could do better) although the overall vision is outstanding. These are a must see for collectible fans. Have a look!

I wonder what it would be like sitting in a darkened room watching Star Wars, when all of a sudden –  Mrwarrrrrrrrr. Mrwarrrrrrrrr (sound of two TIE Fighters flying through space).  Do you think you would make it to the bathroom?  Or would you just pee your pants right there?  Just curious.

Yeah, I’ve got a lightsaber. So what? I have one of the Force FX lightsabers and it’s always a conversation piece whenever people come over. Now it turns out instead of saying “it’s Anakin’s from the second movie” I could actually be saying “it’s my own custom lightsaber” and be really geeky. The kit contains 3 pommels, 3 handles, 3 center bands, 3 front pieces, 3 emitters and a central hilt. There are so many possible combinations, that yours would be very unique.

I know mine will be. Now to just get wifely approval. Kevin? Any ideas?

I just realized I forgot to post Part 2 of Six in the Morning.  These guys are quite talented with the lightsaber action, and the acting and direction are top notch.  However, I must admit that I liked “Three in the Afternoon” better.  Still, nobody does Star Wars better than Fanboys Productions.  Er… other than George Lucas, of course.   

Oh, wait for the end of the credits.  There is a brief bit at the end.

Now when Star Wars: The Force Unleashed comes out on September 16th, you might not see me for awhile. Kevin…you better make note to buy this game. Actually my list (so far) is GTA IV, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, Metal Gear Solid 4, and The Force Unleashed. Those are the 4 “must own” games I know are coming out. I think there are a couple others, but I’ve narrowed it to that.

*sigh*

I can’t wait. I will be so evil…
