Review: Call of Duty 4

I just rented Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and overall it really is a great game. The graphics are simply amazing and the story is very well done too. The single player is just too short though. I completed the …

Review: The Orange Box on Xbox 360

Tuesday, October 16, 2007

The Orange Box comes with not one, but FIVE games. Half Life 2, HL2 Episode 1 and Episode 2, Team Fortress 2, and Portal. Guess what? It is a blast to play. I would have to say that this version easily beats …

Review: Halo 3 on XBOX 360

Monday, October 8, 2007

I got my XBOX 360 back just in time to rent Halo3 at Blockbuster. Now that I have finished the game, here is my unbiased review.

I should let you know that I never played the first two Halo games. I’m relatively new to the consoles… previously I was a PC Gamer. I have played a lot of shooters on the PC, and now on the 360 and also the PS3.

For me, games break down into graphics, story, acting, and music, playability, and replay value, though not necessarily in that order. I have listed them randomly below.

Graphics

Pretty dang amazing graphics. There are varied environments, from jungles to deserts to snow fields, interior and exterior, etc. Depending upon which weapon you are using, you’ll be in first person, or third person.

The creatures are well-done in Halo 3. “The Flood,” spore creatures that assimilate other races, is my favorite enemy. You shoot them and bits of stuff blows off revealing the original being underneath. Well done – if a bit gory.

Graphics Rating: ★★★★½

Crooked Monkey

The t-shirts from Crooked Monkey are absolutely the most comfortable I've ever had. I was fortunate enough to get some samples at the beginning of the summer and I'm still wearing them every chance I get. I wouldn't tell you about it unless I was absolutely sure you'll love them.

This is a stupid game. Argh! It makes me mad. I rented it after seeing some great reviews on Amazon, but I found it to be lacking in all aspects. After playing it for more than an hour, I can easily say this is my …

Stranglehold for the PS3

I downloaded the demo from the Playstation network yesterday. The download took all night. I thought, what the heck, I might as well try it during breakfast, for just a few minutes. I had so much fun, I ended up being late for work! It was so …

Warhawk Review

Tuesday, September 4, 2007

People are already saying that Warhawk for the Playstation 3 is the best next-gen online game period. I bought the game over the weekend and I have to say that it is an excellent war game, but does take a bit to figure out since there is no manual or …
