One thing I hate about my expensive earphones that I have is that I always end up cramming them in a pocket when I’m not using them. This design for the Holeder Earphone would totally eliminate that annoyance. You can simply connect the earpieces behind your neck and voila! it’s a necklace. They do look very cool too. I wish these were real, but it still a great design concept.

I showed my wife the Goatee Saver on their website, laughing about how cool it was and she bought it for me as a surprise! It arrived in the mail this evening, but I haven’t opened it yet. I sure hope it works.

I hate shaving my goatee because it takes forever, and I always mess up. One side is always just a bit off and in need of fixing, and pretty soon I have a completely clean shaven face because I totally mess up. I’ll post a review once I open it and use it. Still, it seems like a great concept. It is a shield for your goatee! Simply shave around the outside and you are done, supposedly. We’ll see how it works.

The Shelter Cart is the ultimate gadget for the homeless. It’s made to collect all the cans, bottles and whetever else someone wants during the day, and at night you flip it over to become a full shelter. Interesting stuff. It makes the cardboard box seem so old school, doesn’t it?

Yeah, I’ve got a lightsaber. So what? I have one of the Force FX lightsabers and it’s always a conversation piece whenever people come over. Now it turns out instead of saying “it’s Anakin’s from the second movie” I could actually be saying “it’s my own custom lightsaber” and be really geeky. The kit contains 3 pommels, 3 handles, 3 center bands, 3 front pieces, 3 emitters and a central hilt. There are so many possible combinations, that yours would be very unique.

I know mine will be. Now to just get wifely approval. Kevin? Any ideas?

This is pretty insane. You can drive over a GoldKey USB drive, soak them in water, burn them, and I don’t even know what else and that darn things just keep working. They also have 256-bit AES encryption, a PIN, and a fingerprint scanner. Japanese woman with the stereotypical accent not included.

What do you get the geek on the go like me for a present? I’m clad you asked that question. You drop a measly $80 and get me the Setgo Transport. It’s a full bandolier of pockets for things like my iPod, Blackberry, car keys, wallet, and PlayStation Portable. Oh…I don’t have a PlayStation Portable so while you’re at it, go ahead and grab me one of those too.

Yes, Steve Jobs did one of his usual keynote speeches at the 2008 Worldwide Developers Conference and confirmed the rumors of the iPhone 3G. Supposedly this will be faster internet and everything else. And to think just a month or so ago I could have bought an iPhone. I would be so pissed off right now. Thankfully I bought a Blackberry. I even remember when a friend bought like a 15 GB iPod and just a month later, the 30GB Video iPod came out. Can you say livid?

What’s even more surprising than Apple screwing people with something new is that new price tag is on $199. Most mobile phones that have similar features are about $300, so it’s certainly a bold move on Apple’s part to take on the phone world. That’s like the price of a MotoRazr or something isn’t it?

One thing that still really, really bothers me about the iPhone is that you’re forced to move to AT&T. I have a huge family plan at my current vendor and various contract dates on the phone. My daughter dropped on in a puddle less than a year ago and had to get a new one and hence, we had to extend to get the better price. To be fair…she had the phone in her jeans pocket and actually dropped herself in the puddle. Anyway, the point here is that I can’t just jump ship and/or pay the $300 cancellation fee for each phone to switch carriers. Apple would do so much better if you could choose with the iPhone. Then they would truly take a much large market share.

Until that day, I’ll live just fine without one.

I have a 52′ LCD Samsung widescreen television with a Yamaha surround-sound and a PlayStation 3. In the house, but in different rooms, we also have two PlayStation 2 consoles, an Xbox, and a Wii. One day I’d love to get another television and have them all together. Besides that, I need a 1080p television. Mine only does 720p which is great, but I think I’m missing something.

My point really was that a nice home gaming setup doesn’t have to be impossible. Check out this setup I found on the Call of Duty 4 IW forum. It was posted by a person named Mafiaguy66 and is one of the coolest setups I’ve ever seen. For some reason it really appealed to the inner geek in me a lot more then some of the super fancy setups that GeekAbout had, but that’s just me. Go check out the 9 they have (number 9 is my personal favorite) and then leave me a note telling me what you think.

A Frenchman, Jean-Yves Blondeau, has invented a rollerblade suit with 31 wheels on it.  A girl I am aquainted with is actually learning to use this suit from Jean-Yves for her upcoming stunt role in a new Jim Carrey movie. 

This is the exact kind of coffee maker I want in my kitchen. It’s a 2-in-1 espresso maker and anti-theft deterrent that looks like a beryllium sphere that would take out the entire house if you got too close. I would hope that when your running the thing it would have some very cool “shhhhhttt” sounds that would come blasting out, scaring the bejesus out of everyone in the kitchen.
