These are simply amazing! The design of the these Steampunk Star Wars action figures, not to mention the 1942 Star Wars figures and the Gaslight Justice League, is simply incredible. Some of them look a bit rough (not that I could do better) although the overall vision is outstanding. These are a must see for collectible fans. Have a look!

Yeah, I’ve got a lightsaber. So what? I have one of the Force FX lightsabers and it’s always a conversation piece whenever people come over. Now it turns out instead of saying “it’s Anakin’s from the second movie” I could actually be saying “it’s my own custom lightsaber” and be really geeky. The kit contains 3 pommels, 3 handles, 3 center bands, 3 front pieces, 3 emitters and a central hilt. There are so many possible combinations, that yours would be very unique.

I know mine will be. Now to just get wifely approval. Kevin? Any ideas?

If you’re a big fan of the Xbox 360 game Gears Of War, then you’ll probably want the box set of detailed action figures that are available soon in a single boxed set. They include Marcus Fenix, Augustus Cole, Locust Drone and the Locust Sniper. If you can find the limited version, you’ll get a “Hammer of Dawn” gun and an alternative Locust head featuring a helmet and respirator.

These days there is Lego everything. Lego Batman, Lego Indiana Jones, Lego Star Wars, and now Lego Speed Racer. There will be four sets released with the movie. I wonder if a Lego Speed Racer video game might be in the works, after all…we’ve got Batman and Indiana Jones Lego games coming out.

In August of 2004 Takara held a contest in Japan where after buying five sepecific Transformer toys and sending in their “points” in you were entered in a drawing to win a Gold Masterpiece Optimus Prime. Only ten (or possibly twenty) of these unique toys were made. Based upon the Masterpiece Optimus Prime which has won many “Toy of the Year” awards, for many collectors this has become the holy grail of Transformers. I have created this site with photos of my Gold Optimus Prime so everyone can see more than the one photo shown in the contest.
