Wizards of Waverly Place Spellbound for DS

Wizards of Waverly Place has a new DS game called Spellbound?  Sign me up!  Well, sign my daughter up anyway;  she loves the TV show.  Her big thing is Harry Potter right now, and frankly it’s a bit dark for somebody her age.  Plus, it’s a Disney game and that means family friendly, in my book.

So, I was pretty excited to get a copy from the publisher.

In case you hadn’t heard of the show but are looking for a good present for a grandkid or kid or friend, here is a brief synopsis of Wizards of Waverly Place:

“Wizards of Waverly Place is about three young wizards, Alex, Justin, and Max and their magical life on Waverly Place in New York. The series follows their lives at school, at home with their parents Theresa and Jerry, and at the Waverly Sub Station.” (source)

This game should be a great gift for anyone who enjoys the show.  It would also be good for someone who likes a mystery.  I’ll write a full review in a few days.

Fans will unravel the mystery while learning to cast exciting news spells on objects and characters with the ability to move and freeze objects, travel at turbo speed, turn into a hamster and more.

Players will navigate through the story and interact with familiar characters and explore locations from the show, including Tribeca Prep, The Wizard Lair and The Sub Shop. In addition, fans can take on bonus wizard challenges and unlock cool new outfits.

Wizards of Waverly Place: Spellbound is Rated E for Everyone by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) and is available now at a suggested retail price of $29.99.
