Book 3 wasn’t the last book in the Avatar series! According to multiple sources, there will be new stories told in the Avatar universe. There is a new series in production, actually. It is currently called Avatar: Legend of Korra. This title was trademarked in May 2010 by Nickelodeon. Apparently it will take place 100 years in the future, but will have flashbacks involving Avatar characters we have already met. Hmmmm. Wonder what that means?
Likely, it will include descendants of our favorite characters. Possibly a reincarnation of the current Avatar, Aang.

I think it great that they want to continue the Avatar show, However I think there is a lot of loose ends in the original avatar show the last air bender to start a new one. For one thing I belive that the original show should continue with the same characters. A lot of fans have already fell in love with these characters and want to see more of them. As for the looseends, the show never really explains what happen to Zuko mom? Did Azula find her before Zuko and killed her? It would explain why she is a psychopath. What happen to the avatar when he is born into the airmad nation again? I also find it hard to believe that Azula would stay quiet forever after Zuko became the firelord. I think the show should continue maybe 5 to 10 years in the future that way we can see the character grow up a bit and see a new threat trying to distroy the world.

Hello their. My name is Marsden and I am a big Avatar fan. Although i am too young and unexperienced for this season 4 job, I have a better idea for season 4 and possibly beyond that depending on many variables.I enjoy the characters that are in the firts 3 seasons. When I have heard that Mike and Bryan might date the fourth season one hundred years in the furure I was stunned. I enjoy the first season characters and wish to keep them at all cost. I beleive that I may have an idea that Mike and Bryan might enjoy. I have no high expectations, but, if anyone knows where i could contact Mike or Bryan that would be much appreciated. I just feel like I need to do this, because if I never tell them this idea and they go through with this Last Airbender Korra and I know that I may have an interesting idea, I will never forgive myself. And although I have established my flaws in age and experience, I implore you to take me seriuosly. Most people do not take this show seriously and think of it as just a way to make money, but I don’t. So please, if you have any way at all for me to contact either Mike or Bryan, that would be greatly apreciated. Just contact me on facebook under lane malane. Thank youmfor your time and cooperation.

Although these ideas to tie up the loose ends by not putting it too far into the future is a great idea, it may also put a bad outlook on the show and make it too much like a soap opera; although I do believe that if it is possible to make it work the specialists in this group can do it. But consider the idea that the problems that Korra has are directly related to the loose ends in the 3 book. Either way it can be amazing or it can suck but for the most part the ideas I’ve heard are really great, and I have high expectations for this next season!…I just hope they don’t change it too much of the show we all love.

Hi I’m a fan of the avatar show. I love the story line and the fact that the characters are believable. They are not overpowered
and they’re not perfect they all have reasons for doing what they’re doing its a great show and I would recommend it to many.
I love the idea that your going to work on a new season I can’t wait to watch it. However I do agree with some others and am going to miss Toph and Aang, Zuko and Katare i think its fine that your making a new season 100 years later but perhaps that is the only way to make a book about Air considering by then the air nomads might be back whatever you do keep the same quality of characters make them believable. Good luck with it.
I’m working on some projects of my own and love the avatar world.
In the future maybe ill work together with you guys I love the idea of raising the bar for cartoon animations and am starting to write about another world. good luck with your film

For all of you wondering and those of you complaining: if you look up more recent info, you will see that although the whole Gaang is dead and gone, there will most likely be flasbacks that include info that will tie up loose ends in ATLA. They will probably show a flashback of the anti-bender revolt starting and about how Aang and friends were involved. ATLA ended because the protagonists achieved their main goal of defeating the fire lord and ending a 100 year war. That series is over with and I say we look to the future with optimism because i am certain that ATLoK will be just as good, if not better, that ATLA. After all, it’s been confirmed that Mike and Bryan will personally be working on this series. Keep your heads up!

I agree with many of the people on here. There should be at least one more book that can tie up the many loose ends still left in the original series. Also, even with the peace, it seems too sudden, as if there should be some specific things, such as:
1. The original Fire Lord and Azula. Azula still has her powers, and can still be just as dangerous. What will happen with her???
2. The big one. Zuko’s mom. What happened to her? Is she still alive?
3. The new fire lord crowning could’ve happened in a few weeks, but you must think that after a war that lasted for so long, some remnant forces of the Fire Nation would still be around.
4. The original characters are what made the series. Taking them out without tying up loose ends is like ripping out the one thing that made Avatar Avatar.
5. Now that Aang and Katara are together (finally) will there be more mentioned about that?
6. Finally, with the second movie currently in production, I believe it would be a HUGE business opportunity, especially since the movie failed in the eyes of many Avatar fans, to make a new book with these questions above in mind. Even though your new series of Avatar is under production, the last thing people will remember is the disappointment the movie was, and will be sad to see that The Legend of Korra rarely includes the original cast. It would be better to lead them into the Korra series with a new book with the same cast, to heal the damage done by M. Night Shyamalan’s poor viewpoint of the characters and nations and entire idea all together. Please, consider what I have said.

I agree with everyone else, there are a lot of loose ends, for example last episode has Zuko ask where his mom is, but you will never know? Granted you could do flashbacks to show that, but like others have said I have fallen in love with these characters. I once dreamed of where the show could go, more adventures for them to have together, ideas on where and what happened to Zuko’s mother. I have a million ideas and things surging threw my mind. Granted I am just a women, with crazy dreams and ideas, and yes its true that everyone thinks that their ideas are the best; I am not saying mine are the best really, but they are good, and I have given a lot of thought to how everything would tie together. I may not be an experienced person in this sort of thing, but I have written things before, not published or even publicly known, but I do write. I do have ideas, and I know this will probably go unanswered, but I thought that it was at least worth a try to get my ideas out there. I am not going to post my ideas here, they are mine and I don’t want to risk them being stolen or used. If you are interested email me. I am probably even writing this too late by the other dates, but I have not always been very confident that my idea was even worth hearing. I had to give this a try.

Hey, I am a huge fan of the series Avatar the last Air bender. This series was an absolute masterpiece! I love this series, it had such creativity and was ingenious, that’s why it had such a massive success and admiration from fans. It was such a relief to see tv anime hadn’t gone completely downhill. On behalf of all Avatar last air bender fans, you have to create Avatar the Last Airbender The Promise series for tv. There has not been a success of an anime show like this since dragonball z, the series brought back hope that the era of amazing anime was not lost. Its been my favourite anime show since I saw it. Develop the follow up ‘The Promise’ comic book series into tv animation, expand and carry on this show and add to the dynasty. Sorry to say but the legend of korra is not good especially compared to its prequel, bring back the original series and develop the comic into the potential it can become. You have the comic books for the basis to develop it from, everyone will love it, its guaranteed a success and it will be a benefit for everyone! This e-mail may seem excessive but it is only to show how much admiration your fans have for this series. bring back the series! Thanks for taking the time to read this, hope this message changes some minds.

HI!!! I really like the Korra series, but I think that you should do another series about the original team avatar building republic city and whatnot. I think that this should be when they are all adults and have families etc. I think that if you did this it would tie up a lot of loose ends and the original story would make more sense. I guess in a way I agree with Daniel. I really love avatar but I think that you should bring back the old characters and do more stories about them instead.
