OK, so I admit it: I am a Gleek. You know, a Geek for Glee. I can’t get enough of the show. I came into it late, about 3/4 of the way through the season, but I got sucked immediately in. I hate musicals. I can’t stand plays. So, I’m not sure what the big draw is for me. Nonetheless, I am hooked. That’s why I was so excited to see it out on DVD. We picked up the entire season for $29.00 at Target on Friday, and watched the first three episodes on Saturday evening and this morning. I am super excited for the next season of Glee, which starts in April. If you are into the show as much as I am, check out these rumors:
1) Kurt is going to get a boyfriend: ”We’re going to make them a power couple. We’re not going to do the whole hiding in the shadows thing. We’re going to make them popular, and out and proud and glamorous. Like prom king and king. We’re doing the opposite of what’s been done.” – EW.com – Ryan Murphy. This post has tons of other rumors on it.
2) There is a Madonna episode. I have been hearing this for months. What I didn’t know is that Sue Sylvester will have a song in it, possibly “Vogue,” according to the above link.
3) 70 songs were used in the first 13 episodes of Glee.(source) Does this mean there will be another CD? I hope so!
4) The Glee actors are actually much older than the characters they portray. For example, the actors portraying Puck and Finn are are 28 years old.
5) Speaking of Madonna, here are six of the songs that supposedly will be on the 10 song set list:
- What It Feels for a Girl
- Crazy For You
- Borderline
- Open Your Heart To Me
- Burning Up
- Like a Virgin
- Like A Prayer
- Express Yourself
- Vogue
- 4 Minutes
According to this site, anyway. We’ll see if that is the case!
6) Jennifer Lopez may guest star on Glee this season according to this site, and several others. Will Glee turn into a show filled by pop stars? I hope not. Part of the awesomeness of Glee are the songs and the dance numbers. Though there have been guests thus far, they haven’t distracted from the music and the story. I think it should stay that way.
