GTA Chinatown Wars is a Flop

The newest Grand Theft Auto game is a flop. Who knew?! Released for the Nintendo DS, GTA: Chinatown Wars failed to meet the expected 200,000 to 400,000 sales range. Instead, it has only sold somewhere in the 89,000 unit range. It isn’t the quality of the game, either, which has a metacritic rating of 94.  Due to the sales performance of this game, the conclusion must be made that M-rated games are a hard sell for the DS.  Unfortunately, the DS has been completely geared towards kids for so long that a M rated game like GTA has absolutely no hope of selling well.
