Mayor of Batman Sues Batman

The mayor of crazy town… er… Batman is suing Warner Bros. and Christopher Nolan. You read that right. See, apparently there is a town called Batman in Turkey, and the Mayor there has decided that the movie Dark Knight, and also the hero Batman has caused his town harm. Apparently, no one asked his town for permission to use their name. And so, he thinks that both Nolan and Warner Bros. owe him royalties.

The odd thing about this story (ok, ONE of the odd things) is that Batman has been around since 1939. There have been tons of movies, several TV shows, the comic books, radio plays, etc. for years. And this is the first time we’ve heard of them? Apparently, they have a good reason now. Well, over one billion reasons. That’s how much money The Dark Knight has made so far, or will make before it’s all said and done.
