Some Diablo III News

Diablo was one of the first games that really hooked me into playing online and so now, news has come out that Blizzard intends to keep things going. Diablo III is a closing of a chapter, but after that they plan to open a new one.

“We’re not saying this is the end of the Diablo universe, but we are trying to bring this storyline to a close,” noted lead designer Jay Wilson. “It’s not just Diablo III - we’ve got plans beyond.”

That’s really awesome news. As for characters, not much is know just yet, but Blizzard is talking about having characters return from Diablo I as well as having some from Diablo II and the novels that came out in the same world setting.
