These are pretty cool looking ipod speakers, and appear to be highly rated on amazon.com.

These guys are smart speakers.  Apparently, they sound amazing.  And I would hope so!  From the video I saw you can use them in a variety of environments.  They plug into the wall for electricity, and have a variety of plugs for attaching components.

So what does smart speakers mean?  Well, they sound pretty smart.  Here is the description from Amazon:

  • Stylish, bi-amped compact speakers with built-in 50 Watt Dynamic Amplifier
  • Includes iPod Dock, 2 auxiliary inputs, USB connection, S-Video output, auxiliary AC outlet on back, Licensed Apple Made for iPod product
  • The high-gloss finish speakers are built solid with 5/8″ medium density fiberboard for a natural sound reproduction
The infrared Remote allows you to navigate through your iPod, and even has a backlight button
  • Auto On/Off switch: In the auto position, the system will automatically power up when a signal from one of the three sources is on, then it will power off when it does not receive a signal for 15 minutes
  • iN Studio 5.0 smart speakers are currently available from www.sierrasound.com, www.amazon.com, www.pcmall.com, www.macmall.com, www.jr.com (J&R Electronics), as well as a number of other audio retailers. MSRP for a set of iNStudio 5.0 smart speakers is $299.

They come in a variety of colors.  Check them out on Amazon below. If you are in the market for some high quality speakers these guys might be a good way to go.  Although there aren’t a whole lot of reviews for them, they have a five star rating over all.
