File this under “WHAT THE HECK IS THIS WORLD COMING TO?”
In some kind of strange and awful collaboration, The Sims (EA) and IKEA are teaming up! I’ll let EA say this directly:
“The Sims players can design their rooms to fit their personalities with all-new IKEA made items including a plush EKTORP sofa, MALM bed, LEKSVIK coffee table, EXPEDIT TV, FREDRIK desk and much more. Each item is available in a variety of colors and patterns for a truly customized look. Finishing touches can be added with popular IKEA® wall art, mirrors, lighting options and vases. Becoming a Sims’ interior designer with inspiring, contemporary styles from IKEA® has never been made easier!”

So, in my amazement, I did a search on Amazon for The Sims 2 Ikea Home Stuff. And yes, it really is for sale. It already has a review. One star. The review said this:
“anyhow its not worth the money. there are no cloths or anything like that. i really had a hard time figuring out which one was new with my other objects.”
Well DUH! Anyone who has ever been to IKEA would know that they don’t sell clothing. Also, the easy way to tell the difference between the IKEA furniture and the regular furniture, is the IKEA stuff comes in boxes and then falls apart after six months.
