1080pGuess what? According to several sources, you shouldn’t go by the back of the box to tell whether or not a game is really 1080p. According to this site, PS3 actually has a LOT more Native 1080p games than XBOX360, even though Microsoft would have you believe otherwise.

Guess how many XBOX 360 games are in Native 1080p? Two. Yeah. Just two (and Halo 3 isn’t one of them). PS3 has 24 titles. You’re probably looking at the back of your Halo box scratching your head and wondering what that 1080p is for. See, apparently a LOT of games are actually upscaled from 720p. The image quality in this case is lower than that of a game that is NATIVE 1080p.

Now, none of this means that the games are any good or bad. A lot of those 24 titles the PS3 has are stinkers, or games I wouldn’t want in my PS3. And there are a lot of games, such as Ratchet and Clank for the PS3 that are awesome and look great even thought they aren’t 1080p.
