Action director John Woo presents Stranglehold, a 3rd-person action adventure videogame for PlayStation 3. It’s a sequel to his movie action masterpiece Hard Boiled starring Chow Yun-Fat. Stranglehold is something totally new in action gaming with its acrobatic gunplay and amazing cinematography. Chow Yun-Fat stars once again as Inspector Tequila, a bad-ass cop on a personal war with Hong Kong crime lords

Tequila’s ex-wife is kidnapped by the Russian mob and he struggles to uphold the law while doing what it takes to save her.

You get to play in a John Woo directed action movie using dual-wieldingguns in a massive destructible environment. Taking that same action online even brings the action genre to a whole new level.

  • awesome battles and moves, such as running up railings, swinging on chandeliers or leaping onto moving objects
  • the cinematics of acclaimed director John Woo using specific camera placement, cutscenes, and storyline
  • huge areas of Chicago and Hong Kong to explore
  • the incredible Tequila Time slow-motion system lets you aim and shoot while diving, jumping, or running

The demo was quite excellent and I’m looking forward to playing the entire game.
